Muesli: The Swiss Superfood
To make Dr Maximilian Oskar Bircher-Benner’s 100-year-old original recipe for muesli, simply follow these instructions:
- Soak 1 tablespoon of oat flakes in 3 tablespoons of water overnight
- Mix 1 tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk
- Add the juice of half a lemon
- Grate one large apple including skin and core
- Add 1 tablespoon chopped nuts
